November 24 2022: Bosphorus Gaz’s Spot LNG Licence is updated as a Spot Import Licence which also allows to import spot pipeline gas starts from 17.01.2023 and valids for 30 years.
October 18 2022: As a first of its kind for Turkish energy market, Bosphorus Gaz has extended its contract with Gazprom until year 2043 and was awarded an import license until the same year by EMRA.
With this contract in place, Bosphorus Gaz is the largest private importing company of natural gas in Turkey.
December 31 2014: With natural gas import amounting to 2.748,13 million Sm3 Bosphorus Gaz’s market share in our country became 5,58%.
December 31 2013: By the end 2013, with natural gas import amounting to 2.287,21 million Sm3 Bosphorus Gaz’s market share in our country became 5%.
September 20 2013: Electricity Wholesale License was obtained.
August 9 2013: Contract was signed for the importation of 1,750 million cubic meters of natural gas through the Western Line following the expiry of the term of Gazprom Export’s contract with BOTAŞ for the supply of 6 billion cubic meters.
July 31 2013: TUR Enerji, one of our stakeholders, transferred 11% of its shares to Gazprom Germania. After this share transfer Bosphorus Gaz Corporation’s ownership of shares is 71% Gazprom Germania and 29% TUR Enerji.
June 5 2013: TUR Enerji, one of our stakeholders, transferred 20% of its shares to Gazprom Germania.
January 17 2013: Bosphorusgaz obtained a Spot LNG Licence valid for 10 years.
January 01 2013: Bosphorusgaz initiated its natural gas import activities with a second 1.75 billion Sm3 import contract. In total the natural gas import contract volume has reached up to 2.5 billion Sm3.
December 31 2012: With natural gas import amounting to 583,557 million Sm3 Bosphorus Gaz’s market share in our country became 1,27%.
September 20 2012: Electricity Wholesale License was obtained.
August 9 2012: Contract was signed for the importation of 1,750 million cubic meters of natural gas through the Western Line following the expiry of the term of Gazprom Export’s contract with BOTAŞ for the supply of 6 billion cubic meters.
July 31 2012: TUR Enerji, one of our stakeholders, transferred 11% of its shares to Gazprom Germania. After this share transfer Bosphorus Gaz Corporation’s ownership of shares is 71% Gazprom Germania and 29% TUR Enerji.
June 5 2011: TUR Enerji, one of our stakeholders, transferred 20% of its shares to Gazprom Germania.
December 31 2011: Bosphorus Gaz acquired a 1.7% share in our country’s aggregate imports, handling a total quantity of 737.3 million Sm3 of gas, importing the entire gas specified for 2011 within the framework of its License.
December 23 2011: Contract was signed for the importation of 750 million cubic meters of gas from Kazakhstan.
December 31 2010: As of year-end, Bosphorus Gaz considerably expanded its customer portfolio, and realized imports of 605.6 million Sm3 and sales of 966.6 million Sm3.
In the start-up year of its operations in the market, Bosphorus Gaz accomplished to constitute a select customer portfolio, realizing imports of 509.8 million Sm3 of natural gas and sales of 736.6 million Sm3.
January 3 2009: Bosphorus Gaz commenced its Natural Gas importation and wholesale operations.
October 18 2007: Bosphorus Gaz Corporation obtained the “Import License” from the regulator EMRA.
July 11 2007: Our Company was approved by the Competition Authority.
May 22 2007: The tripartite agreement (“Deed of Assignment”) was signed between and among BOTAŞ, Gazprom Export and Bosphorus Gaz.
Two more agreements were endorsed also on the same date:
– The Sales and Purchase Contract pertaining to 750 million cubic meters of Natural Gas valid until 2012, signed between Bosphorus Gaz and Gazprom Export, and
– Agreement amending the Contract, dated February 18, 1998, concluded between Gazprom Export and BOTAŞ.
March 15: BOTAŞ’s dispatch of the “Letter of Invitation” to Bosphorus Gaz concerning the endorsement of a new Sales and Purchase Agreement with Gazprom Export.
November 30 2005: Our Company was awarded the “Natural Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (Import Contracts), tendered by BOTAŞ.
January 27 2005: Bosphorus Gaz Corporation participated in the tender opened for the “Izmir Natural Gas Distribution License.”
April 2 2004: As a consequence of a change in the shareholder structure of the Company, Zarubezhgaz Management and Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (ZMB) purchased 40% of the shares owned by TUR Energy A.Ş. in Bosphorus Gas Corporation.
December 16 2003: Bosphorus Gaz Corporation participated in the “Bursa Natural Gas Distribution” tender.
April 7: Bosphorus Gaz Corporation was established and duly incorporated.
